NORMA Group Press Release 20/12/2011 Eichsfelder Werkstätten have been packaging a record twelve million clamps for NORMA Germany in 2011 Maintal, 20 December 2011 - Every day, about twenty employees of the Eichsfelder Werkstätten in Heilbad Heiligenstadt (a work centre for workers with disabilities) are packing a total 50,000 clamps for clients of NORMA Germany. The clamps are used for instance to fix tubes in cars and water pipes in buildings. For the first time ever, the employees of the work centre have been handling over ten million connectors this year.

"Packaging twelve million clamps is yet another record for our employees with mental and physical disabilities. It is a great success. We thank NORMA Germany for its lasting trust", says Benno Pickel, the manager of the Eichsfelder Werkstätten. This co-operation, which has started eleven years ago, also benefits NORMA Germany. "The outstanding commitment shown by the employees of the Eichsfelder Werkstätten never ceases to impress us. The Eichsfelder Werkstätten have been responsible for packaging and sorting as well as for landscaping at the NORMA facility in Gerbershausen since August 2000. The work centre was founded in 1993 and is currently employing 370 people. NORMA Germany has 140 employees in Gerbershausen who manufacture about 1.5 million joining elements used globally in the automotive industry - for instance in exhaust systems - in shipping and aviation as well as in infrastructure projects.
