Nissan unveiled its latest "see the invisible" technology, showcasing an entirely new driving experience through Nissan Intelligent Mobility at CES 2019. Invisible-to-Visible, or I2V, is a future technology as it supports drivers by merging information from sensors outside and inside the vehicle with data from the cloud. This enables the system not only to track the vehicle's immediate surroundings but also to anticipate what is ahead - even showing what is behind a building or around the corner. To make driving more enjoyable, guidance is given in an interactive, human-like way. Nissan showcased the Nissan LEAF NISMO RC electric race car. It's a car that shows off Nissan's zero-emission technology and is the remarkable achievement of Nissan's dedicated racing division, NISMO. The aggressively restyled RC has dual electric motors producing a combined output of 240 kW, equivalent to 322 horsepower, and 640 Nm (472 ft-Ibs.) of torque, delivered through all-wheel drive capability, and can hit speed of 62 mph in only 3.4 seconds. Nissan showcased its newest electric vehicle "Nissan LEAF e+", boasting an even higher energy-density battery pack than the predecessor. The new LEAF e+ powertrain increases the car range by approximately 40% and comes equipped with ProPILOT semi-autonomous driving system and e-Pedal mode for one-pedal driving. The LEAF embodies Nissan Intelligent Mobility and is the company's vision for how cars can be powered, driven, and integrated into society. It's a future about driving smarter and safer, while still being exciting and offering a thrilling ride. During the Show, Nissan's interactive 3D-immersion I2V experience was powered by energy from a LEAF.
