Nihon Kogyo Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ:5279) acquired remaining 40% stake in NIC Co., Ltd. from Shin Ibaraka Co., Ltd. on January 26, 2021. The absorption-type merger method will be adopted with Nihon Kogyo Co., Ltd. as the surviving company and NIC Co., Ltd. as the extinguished company, and NIC Co., Ltd. will be dissolved on the effective date April 1, 2021. For the year ending March 31, 2020, total asset, net asset, revenue, operating profit and net profit was ¥369 million, ¥70 million, ¥1.02 billion, ¥13.5 million and ¥14.8 million respectively.

The Civil Engineering Materials segment is engaged in production and sales of underdrain products such as box culverts and heavy-pressure pipes used on social infrastructure development, retaining walls, side grooves, river and seawall products etc. The Landscape Materials segment is engaged in production and sales of pavement materials, curbstones and staircase blocks, forged trees and false stone products etc. provided for public facilities such as sidewalks and parks. The Exterior segment is engaged in production and sales of garden related products, decorative blocks and external housing components such as gate columns for private housing.
