Yo-Ho Brewing Co., Ltd. signed a contract to acquire Ginga Kogen Beer Co. Ltd. from Nihon House Holdings Co., Ltd. (TSE:1873) on September 28, 2017. Under the terms of the transaction, Yo-Ho Brewing Co., Ltd. will acquire 70,940 shares of Ginga Kogen Beer Co. Ltd. Post-acquisition, Ginga Kogen Beer Co. Ltd. will operate as a subsidiary of Yo-Ho Brewing Co., Ltd. For the year ended October 31, 2016, Ginga Kogen Beer Co. Ltd. reported total revenues of ¥930 million, operating profit of ¥26 million and net income of ¥10 million. Ginga Kogen Beer Co. Ltd. reported total assets of ¥788 million and net liabilities of ¥158 million as at October 31, 2016. The Board of Directors of Nihon House Holdings Co., Ltd. passed a resolution for the transaction on September 28, 2017. The transaction is expected to complete on October 31, 2017.
