Nexans wins a 'major' contract in Italy
The French group says the agreement is to be accompanied by the supply of associated services to support Italy's energy transition, starting in February 2024 and within 16 months.
In a press release, Nexans stresses that this contract reaffirms its positioning as a major player in sustainable electrification, while strengthening its long-term partnership with its transalpine customer.
The low- and medium-voltage cables will be manufactured in Italy, at its Battipaglia plant, using low-carbon aluminum, whose greenhouse gas emissions are 30% to 50% lower than those of conventional aluminum.
The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Following this announcement, Nexans shares gained 0.4% on Friday morning on the Paris stock exchange.
