Neoen has announced that it will start building its first three assets in Italy in December 2023, three solar power plants with a total capacity of 24.7 MWp, strategically located in Lombardy (8 MWp and 7.6 MWp) and Marche (9.1 MWp).

In line with its business model, Neoen has developed these plants and will be the sole owner. Their construction has been entrusted to Intec Energy Solutions, under a turnkey contract, and commissioning is scheduled for early 2025.

Once operational, they will avoid the emission of almost 37,000 tonnes of CO2 every year, and will produce the equivalent of the electricity consumption of more than 9,000 households annually.

Neoen's strategy is to contract, through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), a significant proportion of the energy produced by its assets, together with the associated guarantees of origin. The balance will be sold on the Italian electricity market.
