Navneet Publications (India) Limited reported unaudited standalone earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, net sales /income from operations was INR 1,248.8 million compared to INR 811.3 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income interest and exceptional items was INR 179.1 million compared to INR 38.8 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 180.4 million against INR 49.0 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 112.4 million or INR 0.47 per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary items compared to net profit of INR 40.1 million or INR 0.17 per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary items a year ago.
For the nine moths, net sales /income from operations was INR 6,241.0 million compared to INR 4,904.7 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income interest and exceptional items was INR 1,483.5 million compared to INR 1,101.8 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 1,450.8 million against INR 1,129.6 million a year ago. Net profit was INR 977.7 million or INR 4.10 per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary items compared to net profit of INR 766.0 million or INR 3.22 per basic and diluted share before and after extraordinary items a year ago.
