'Fortum is continuing works associated with the erection of multi-fuel boiler for Zabrze CHP Plant. On 23 January, 2017 in the presence of municipal authorities and representatives of contractors a traditional 40 tons boiler drum lifting ceremony was held, which once the drum is fixed at the destined height will be become the key element of the boiler. The construction of the modern plant proceeds according to the planned schedule whilst maintaing the highest safety standards'.
'The boiler drum is the key element of the modern multi-fuel CFB boiler supplied and produced by Amec Foster Wheeler. 40 ton equipment will be hanged by the contractor to an altitude of 46 m. What is interesting, inside the boiler there will be 130 km of pipes, which is more than the distance between Katowice and Opole'.
MOSTOSTAL ZABRZE S.A. represented by the CEO - Mr. Aleksander Balcer also attended this ceremony. Mostostal Zabrze S.A. is the subcontractor of Amec Foster Wheeler within the scope of delivery and erection of more than 3000 tons of steel structure of the modern CFB boiler for Zabrze CHP Plant. To date the company has erected the main structure of the boiler plant in order to allow for installation of the boiler itself and accompanying boiler installation. Moreover, Mostostal Zabrze S.A. began erection of the steel structure of gas cleaning facilities. Currently the company manages 72 people working on site and the works are performed in accordance with the schedule despite difficult weather conditions in last several weeks.
