Ratings agency Moody's Corp. said former Chief Executive Raymond McDaniel Jr. will step down as chairman of the board. He will be succeeded by Vincent Forlenza, the former chairman and CEO of Becton Dickinson and Co.

Mr. McDaniel, 65 years old, who served as CEO of Moody's from 2005 to 2020 and has been chairman since 2021, will also retire from the board of the company. The transition will take place on April 18.

Mr. Forlenza, 69 years old, who is currently lead independent director, has served on the Moody's board since 2018.

"It is an honor to take on this role at such an exciting time at Moody's," he said.
