MTG's ESL and DreamHack - two of the world's top esports tournament organizers - have launched a global partnership with SLIVER.tv, the leading 360 virtual reality (VR) entertainment platform.

That means viewers everywhere can step into fully immersive live streams from 14 mega-events during 2017, including ESL One, Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) and DreamHack ASTRO Open. The tournaments bring together some of the world's best players of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Dota 2.

First up is DreamHack Masters Las Vegas, starting February 15, followed by IEM Katowice on February 25. The latter event drew nearly two million peak concurrent online viewers in 2016 -maybe 360 streaming can push this to 3.60 million…

See far with VR:

(In 2016, MTG became the first Nordic broadcaster to show live sport in 360 VR format. VR is for real!)
