MKS Instruments, Inc Announces Spectra-Physics Business Unit Introduces Explorer® One™ HP

MKS Instruments, Inc. announced that its Spectra-Physics business unit introduces Explorer® One™ HP, a new UV laser with double the power of its highly successful Explorer One line of ultra-compact actively Q-switched lasers. The Explorer® One™ HP delivers 4 W UV power and repetition rates up to 500 kHz. Addressing the semiconductor, flat panel display, and mobile device manufacturing markets, the new laser results in higher throughput for high quality drilling and structuring of thin films and foils, and high contrast, high speed marking of plastics, metals, glass, and sapphire. Its small, air-cooled design enables customers to realize compact tabletop micromachining and UV marking solutions.
