Mitsui Sugar Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2017. For the six months, the company announced net sales of JPY 52,409 million compared to JPY 51,232 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 3,591 million compared to JPY 2,231 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 8,090 million compared to JPY 5,800 million a year ago. Profit before income taxes was JPY 8,186 million against JPY 5,756 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 5,324 million compared to JPY 3,633 million a year ago. Earnings per share was JPY 199.38 compared to JPY 136.07 a year ago.
For the financial year ending March 31, 2018, the company expects net sales of JPY 106,000 million, operating income of JPY 6,000 million, ordinary income of JPY 13,600 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 8,800 million and earnings per share of JPY 329.55.
