MOSCOW, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Russian metals producer Nornickel said on Tuesday some projects planned for completion after 2024 would likely be delayed by two to three years as Western partners were refusing to supply some equipment.

Nornickel is the world's largest producer of refined nickel and palladium. Neither the company nor its products have been directly targeted by Western sanctions imposed on Moscow since it sent thousands of troops to Ukraine on Feb. 24, but they have limited Nornickel's capabilities.

Its nickel and palladium output is due to fall in 2023, but Operational Director Sergey Stepanov told reporters that Nornickel expects to sell all the metal it produces. (Reporting by Anastasia Lyrchikova Writing by Alexander Marrow Editing by Mark Potter)
