Director Yu Yuantang - MOFCOM Visits MESNAC European Research and Technical Center 2024-05-22

On May 18, during his visit to Europe, Yu Yuantang, the Director of the Department of European Affairs of China's Ministry of Commerce(MOFCOM), and his delegation made a special trip to conduct an on-site investigation at the MESNAC European Research and Technical Center(MERTC).

Trevor Xu, the General Director of MESNAC European Research and Technical Center briefed to Yu Yuantang and his delegation about the introduction of MESNAC and the development of the said Center. In recent years, MERTC has utilized local resource advantages to achieve technological and standard upgrades in its two core products: tire building machine and curing press, and has established in-depth cooperation with strategic European customers. In 2023, MERTC successfully joined the Tire Curing Press Work Group of the European Committee for Standardization, with one colleague from China and one from Slovakia officially becoming members of the committee, laying a solid foundation for more MESNAC products to join relevant European standardization organizations in the future.

Yu Yuantang fully recognized MESNAC's exploration in the rubber and tire machinery field and its leading position in the global industry. He expressed his hope that MERTC would continue to increase investment in core technologies and product standards, relying on Slovakia's industrial base advantages, to contribute even more to the development of the rubber and tire machinery industry. Yu Yuantang conducted research on the alignment of European and Chinese standards in the rubber and tire machinery industry, local government policies related to enterprise development, local personnel employment, visa issues, etc., and made arrangements for subsequent coordination.

Visitors also toured the Center's workshop, gaining firsthand understanding of the research and development technologies related to tire building machine and curing press. Wang Hongliang, the Commercial Counselor from the Chinese Embassy to Slovakia, and other staff accompanied this visit..
