Maeda Kosen Co., Ltd. (TSE:7821) entered into a share transfer agreement to acquire Mitsui Chemicals Industrial Products. from Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (TSE:4183) for ¥5.5 billion on June 26, 2024. A cash consideration of ¥5.5 billion will be paid by Maeda Kosen for 311 shares.
For the period ending March 31, 2024, Mitsui Chemicals Industrial Products. reported total revenue of ¥9.01 billion, EBIT of ¥161 million and net income of ¥88 million. As of March 31, 2024, Mitsui Chemicals Industrial Products.
reported total assets of ¥7.25 billion and total common equity of ¥5.58 billion. The execution of the share acquisition is subject to approval by regulatory authorities under the Antimonopoly Act and other closing conditions being satisfied. The expected completion of the transaction is April 1, 2025.
