Lockheed Martin has announced that it will continue to invest in the Thai economy, notably through a proposal for industrial participation as the Thai government evaluates the F-16 Block 70/72 for its future fighter program.

Lockheed's plans include the creation of an R&D center, advanced aerospace engineering training, workforce development, technical assistance for communications system upgrades, fighter maintenance training, exploration of supply chain opportunities and development of support capabilities in Thailand.

Lockheed Martin also assures that its F-16 Block 70/72 'will meet Thailand's defense needs'.
