Light S.A. ("Company" or "Light"), pursuant to CVM Instruction 358 of January 3, 2002, hereby informs its shareholders and the public in general that, on January 13, 2017, the Company's Board of Directors, by unanimity, instructed the affirmative vote of Light Energia S.A. ("Light Energia") Board of Directors, which deliberated the approval of AES Tietê´s ("AES") binding offer for the wind parks, which are part of Alto Sertão II complex ("Alto Sertão II") by the amount of R$ 650,000,000.00 (six hundred and fifty million reais), and the approval of an exclusivity agreement with AES, during a period of 45 (forty five) days, to the acquisition of Renova Eólica Participações S.A. or Nova Energia Holding S.A. shares, companies that together control 15 specific purpose companies, which are part of Alto Sertão II complex, currently in operation, providing energy to the contracts LER 2010 and LEN 2011, which together sold 181.6 MW average in regulated market ("Binding Offer"). The Binding Offer price shall be subject to adjustments, in case of certain transaction conditions are met.

Thereafter, Light Energia instructed the affirmative vote of their Board of Directors of Renova Energia S.A., in a Public Meeting, which will be called in order to deliberate the Binding Offer.

Light emphasizes that the Binding Offer is subjected to the approval of the respective deliberative organs of Renova Energia S.A., among others shareholders involved in the transaction.

The Company will keep will keep its shareholders and the market in general duly informed on the progress of the negotiations between the Parties in accordance to the legislation in force.
