A huge paper swan, a series of works by an award-winning sculptor and paintings of the Cosmos are among the eye-catching new artworks being exhibited at Kings Hill in the development's iconic Control Tower.

'Narcissus', a giant paper swan by Whitstable paper sculptor Stephen Larking, bronze and steel sculptures by Brigitte Evill - who won a Victoria and Albert Museum sculpture award - and Patrick O'Donnell's highly detailed paintings of the stars from his Origins series feature in a newly installed exhibition alongside other selected works.

The exhibition is part of Kings Hill developer Liberty Property Trust's placemaking and broader cultural strategy, which places art and culture at the heart of the Kings Hill community. Works are selected in a rolling programme - now in its seventh year - by professional curator and practising artistJune Frickleton.

The Control Tower exhibition is open to the public between 9am and 5.30pm on Monday to Friday until mid May.

Artworks are also being exhibited in the office buildings in Kings Hill, including mixed media sculptures of giant fruitby Dick Budden, who made this year's large BAFTA masks on the stage. He is also well known for designing and making film and TV scenery - including Yoda's house in 'Star Wars', the ice palace in 'Superman', the alien ship in 'Aliens' and numerous pieces for 'Dr Who', 'The Muppets' and many others.

Andrew Blevins, Liberty's managing director said: 'The Control Tower is centrally located within Kings Hill's retail area next to Costa Coffee and close to Waitrose so we hope as many people as possible will take the time to have a look at the exhibition.

'Our office art initiative makes the workplace more welcoming for employees and visitors alike. It offers a chance to view art at work as an alternative to galleries and provides a great showcase for the artists.'

Details of each artist together with an example of their work is listed on www.kings-hill.com and some sales have resulted.'
