As part of Lazard's 2030 goals to add 10 new Managing Directors within Financial Advisory this year, the firm recently welcomed two new Managing Directors within Restructuring & Liability Management - Jason New, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Investment Banking, and Kevin Glodowski, Managing Director. Both Kevin and Jason will be based out of our New York office.

Jason New has originated numerous transactions and invested billions of capital in the public and private debt, structured credit and public and private equity markets. Jason has served on the boards of over a dozen public and private companies including Cheniere Energy, Momentive Performance Materials, Sorenson Communication, and Eastman Kodak.

Prior to joining Lazard, Jason was the co-founder of NovaWulf Management and previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Onex Credit Partners, a $25 billion alternative credit manager which is wholly-owned by Onex Corporation. Prior to joining Onex, Jason spent 15 years at Blackstone, where he was a Senior Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Distressed and Special Situation Investing for GSO Capital Partners ("GSO", n/k/a Blackstone Credit).

Jason has been actively involved in many of the largest Chapter 11s in history including Lehman, Enron, Calpine, Caesars, Energy Future Holdings, and United and Delta Airlines. In addition, Jason has led distressed and restructuring transactions in the U.K., Europe and Latin America. Jason holds a B.A. from Allegheny College and a J.D. from Duke University, where he is a member of the Board of Visitors.

Kevin Glodowski brings more than 17 years' experience across a broad range of advisory services, including in-court and out-of-court balance sheet restructurings, debt and equity capital raises, exchange offers, amendment processes, distressed M&A, strategic advice and expert testimony / litigation support.

Notable recent experience includes advising the fulcrum noteholder / equity backstop group in the ~$5.1 billion in-court restructuring of Talen Energy, advising Chesapeake Energy on its ~$10 billion in-court restructuring and liability management strategy, and advising the noteholders to Emergent BioSolutions. Prior to joining Lazard, Kevin was most recently a Managing Director in the Restructuring & Debt Advisory Group at Rothschild & Co. Kevin has a BA in Political Science from Emory University and holds series 24, 79 and 63 licenses.

Adding Jason and Kevin supports our growth strategy as we continue to diversify our practice and win both debtor and creditor assignments. We believe that their combined experience and leadership skills will significantly contribute to the success of our group and help us achieve our long-term goals.
