On December 29, SAS Financière L'Arcouest, acting in concert with the Bettencourt Meyers family, declared to the AMF that it had exceeded the thresholds ranging from 5% to one-third of L'Oréal's capital and voting rights, and held 34.65% of the capital and voting rights.

This threshold crossing resulted from the final completion of a contribution in kind of 27.650,000 shares in the cosmetics group by Françoise Bettencourt Meyers to Financière L'Arcouest, controlled by the Bettencourt Meyers family group.

Financière L'Arcouest has no intention of increasing its shareholding, acquiring control of L'Oréal or requesting the appointment of a director. The crossing of thresholds was the subject of an exemption from the obligation to file a draft public offer.
