Kunimine Industries Co., Ltd. (TSE:5388) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 1,546,500 shares, representing 10.70% of the outstanding shares, at ¥889 per share for ¥1,374.84 million. The purpose of the program is to enhance capital efficiency and to implement a flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment. As of March 31, 2019, the company had 14,448,148 shares outstanding and 1,852 shares in treasury.

The Bentonite segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of litter for civil engineering and construction, castings and pets, the purchase, sale and transportation of mud conditioning formulation and others.
