The Kroger Co. (NYSE:KR) may be looking to enter Florida in a big way. Analyst Carol Levenson wrote that "all signs point to management's willingness to make a major acquisition" in a report after analyzing the Kroger's bonds, reports Cincinnati Business Courier.

Executives of Kroger have indicated recently that it could make another acquisition before long, according to Cincinnati Business Courier. Florida isn't the only place Kroger is looking to expand its presence; other regions of interest include Chicago, the Northeast, the upper Midwest and Oklahoma. But Florida is a market that can't be ignored for a grocer with major growth aspirations, as the state recently passed New York to become the third most populous in the U.S.
