Kone announces that Nicolas Alchal, its Managing Director for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, will be appointed Executive Vice President, Strategy and Transformation as of January 1, 2025.

He will succeed Axel Berkling, who was appointed Executive Vice President, Commercial and Operations in October 2023.

Before taking up his new position at the beginning of 2025, Nicolas Alchal will act as interim Executive Vice-President for the Europe zone, from March 1, 2024, when the current incumbent, Karla Lindahl, begins her maternity leave.
Karla Lindahl will return to the position of Executive Vice President for Europe at the beginning of 2025.

Kone reports that it has begun the search for Nicolas Alchal's successor.

The company also announces that Kaori Uehigashi has been appointed Acting Executive Vice President for the Strategy and Transformation organization, effective January 4, 2024, and will hold this position until the end of 2024. Kaori Uehigashi is currently Managing Director and Partner of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
