Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) has founded the "Saitama City Project for the Creation of Advanced Decarbonized City Blocks" with Saitama City, with which Kaneka has concluded a partnership agreement on promoting a sustainable society with a view to creating a Zero Carbon City.
Saitama City aims to create a highly versatile "urban energy model of regional circulation and symbiosis" that can be realized by local governments nationwide, and an "advanced and sustainable green growth model" that is led by the public, private and academic sectors. This will act as a regional decarbonization model up to 2030 with the concept of "Green Co-creation Model by Public, Private and Academic Initiatives from Saitama".
Kaneka, who is committed to one of the initiatives for the "Green Co-creation Model" to create advanced decarbonized city blocks, has established the "Saitama City Co-Creation Project for Decarbonized City Blocks" Team*1 together with Saitama city and our partners. As the representative founder of the project, we will lead the decarbonization project by providing solutions, such as building 30 ZEH*2 Kaneka-no-Ouchi houses and Solar Circuit*3 equipped with our high efficiency solar cells.
Through this initiative and other such activities, we will continue to implement our technologies and products into society and contribute to the decarbonization of the region and the realization of a sustainable society.
