India Infrastructure Trust (the Trust) is an India-based infrastructure investment trust. The Trustâs investment objectives are to carry out the activities of an infrastructure investment trust by initially acquiring the initial portfolio asset in the first instance and to make investments. The initial portfolio asset of the Trust is a pipeline system used for the transport of natural gas (Pipeline). The Pipeline is a cross-country, natural gas pipeline with a pipeline length of approximately 1,375 kilometers (km) trunk pipeline, excluding 105 km of spur lines and interconnects that stretches from Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, in the east of India, to Bharuch, Gujarat, in the west of India, traversing adjacent to major cities in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat, owned by Pipeline Infrastructure Limited (PIL), the special purpose vehicle of the trust. The Trust is managed by Brookfield India Infrastructure Manager Private Limited (BIIMPL).
