The board of directors of Hybrid Kinetic Group Limited announced changes to the members of the Board. Mr. Wong Lee Hing (Mr. Wong) has notified the company of his intention to retire and resign from his position as independent non-executive director of the company with effect from the date of conclusion of the forthcoming annual general meeting of the company to be convened and held by the company (tentatively on 31 October 2017). The main reason for Mr. Wong's retirement/resignation is that Mr. Wong has been serving as an independent non-executive director of the company for more than 9 years, and he considers it appropriate for him to, for good corporate governance of the company, retire/resign from his independent directorship at the conclusion of the 2017 AGM. Following his retirement and resignation at the 2017 AGM, Mr. Wong will cease to serve as the chairman of the remuneration committee and a member of both the audit committee and the nomination committee of the Board. Mr. Lee Cheung Yuet Horace (Mr. Lee) has been appointed as independent non-executive director of the company with effect from 13 September 2017. Following the conclusion of the 2017 AGM, Mr. Lee will also serve as the chairman of the remuneration committee and a member of both the audit committee and the nomination committee of the Board (in place of Mr. Wong Lee Hing). Mr. Lee is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 2014. Mr. Lee has over 13 years of working experience in merger and acquisition, financial reporting, investment analysis and business development. Mr. Lee has been taking up senior positions in the financial and business sectors for over 7 years and he also has extensive experience in terms of Hong Kong listed companies. Mr. Lee has signed an appointment letter with the company pursuant to which he has agreed to act as an independent non-executive director of the company for an initial term of one year commencing from 13 September 2017, renewable automatically for successive terms of one year upon expiry of the then current term of his appointment.
