Higashi Twenty One Co., Ltd. (TSE:9029) agreed to acquire Ishikawa Corporation from individuals on June 21, 2017. The contract for the transaction is expected to be signed on July 3, 2017. Higashi Twenty One will acquire 0.18 million shares as part of the transaction. On completion, Ishikawa will become a subsidiary of Higashi Twenty One. Ishikawa Corporation had total assets of ¥470 million, net assets of ¥223 million, sales of ¥1.45 billion, operating profit of ¥92 million and net income of ¥51 million during the period ended July, 2016. The Board of Directors of Higashi Twenty One resolved the transaction on June 21, 2017. The transaction is expected to complete on July 6, 2017.
HIGASHI TWENTY ONE CO., LTD. is a company mainly engaged in the logistics business. The Company operates in four business segments. The Transportation segment is engaged in the provision of various services, including delivery, office moving, reverse logistics, information technology (IT)-related business, delivery services in office buildings and mailing, as well as the store facility-related business. The Warehouse segment is engaged in the provision of product storage and document services. The Merchandise Sale segment is engaged in the sale of office automation (OA) toners and packaging materials. The Welfare segment provides latest bed, wheelchair and other welfare equipment to nursing care supporters.
