  • What is Quainted and how does it work?

Quainted is your company's private social network. By focusing on 4 areas of wellness, we can help a company to improve their bottom line. These areas are Corporate, Emotional, Physical and Social wellness. Quainted improves these wellness dimensions in real time using wearable technologies, social tools, engagement surveys and analytics. Our clients include the South African Government, Deloitte, Barclays, the South African Revenue Service, Zurich Insurance Group and Telkom, the largest provider of fixed-line broadband in South-Africa.

  • How did you meet and how is the team structured?

Quainted has 3 founders, namely Cedric Scheepers, Heinrich Tessendorf and De Clercq Wentzel. Cedric (CEO) and De Clercq (CIO) met 15 years ago while working together in the banking industry. Cedric and Heinrich (COO) met at a Google competition which took us to Switzerland and ultimately, H-FARM. Other core team members we have known and worked with for years. They are Quentin Oppermann (CTO), Hendrik Oppermann (CFO) and Idé Pienaar (User Experience).

  • What is the most innovative aspect of your product and what makes you different from the competitors?

Quainted not only provides top-down solutions, meaning executives get an overview of the company, but bottom-up solutions as well. This means employees are given a dashboard that guides them on what they can do to improve their immediate environment. We are able to link results to best practices, mentors and coaches, giving immediate results to both the employer and employee. Furthermore, Quainted does not solely rely on a rewards programme to incentivise and change employees' behavior, but use social features, gamification and a performance dashboard to achieve this. Quainted is also methodology agnostic, which means we don't provide predefined solutions, but allow companies to place their own unique methods, best practices and Intellectual Property on Quainted.
