Grameenphone announced consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year December 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of NOK 3,190 million as compared to NOK 3,194 million for the same period last year. EBITDA before other items was NOK 1,876 million as compared to NOK 1,752 million for the same period last year. EBITDA was NOK 1,718 million as compared to NOK 1,723 million for the same period last year. Operating profit was NOK 1,134 million as compared to NOK 1,143 million for the same period last year. Capex was NOK 470 million as compared to NOK 567 million for the same period last year.
For the full year, the company reported total revenues of NOK 13,156 million as compared to NOK 12,339 million for the same period last year. EBITDA before other items was NOK 7,791 million as compared to NOK 6,829 million for the same period last year. Operating profit was NOK 5,124 million as compared to NOK 4,451 million for the same period last year. Capex was NOK 1,483 million as compared to NOK 2,259 million for the same period last year. The company's performance is driven by continued growth in subscriptions and improved profitability through execution on efficiency initiatives.
