Gokendo Co., Ltd. (TSE:9146) conclude a contract to acquire Miwa Tire Co., Ltd. from Tomonobu Miwa, Yuko Miwa and other shareholder on May 25, 2022. As part of the transaction, Gokendo will acquire 20,000 shares, of which Tomonobu Miwa hold 79% and Yuko Miwa hold 17.5% shares in Miwa Tire. For the Fiscal year ended May, 2021, Miwa Tire reported Net worth of ¥175.944 million, Total assets of ¥958.473 million, sales of ¥688.755 million, Operating income of ¥19.141 million, and Net income of ¥19.379 million. The transaction is resolved by the board of Gokendo and expected to complete on June 1, 2022.
Gokendo Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the food distribution business and the total logistics business, which includes the leasing of warehouses and other facilities (warehouses, manufacturing plants, and offices), the picking of cargo, and the delivery of goods. The company operates through three business segments. The Integrated Logistics Management segment is engaged in the supply of management guidance to each consolidated subsidiary, recruits human resources for each consolidated subsidiary, and handles customer contact for the food logistics business.
