GEKTERNA DiGiHub - GEK TERNA' s new Digital Innovation Center
in collaboration with Microsoft
GEK TERNA Group (Bloomberg: GEKTERNA GA / RIC: HRMr.AT) has signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation (MoU) with Microsoft, ensuring a framework of actions with significant benefits to accelerate the digital transition and achieve the Group 's sustainable innovation and development goals.
The strategic cooperation between GEK TERNA Group and Microsoft includes the strengthening of the transition to Azure Cloud services, the improvement of a series of digital functions, the exploitation of data analysis perspectives with artificial intelligence, as well as the implementation of innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions. The implementation of the above is also accompanied by the creation of a Digital Innovation Center (DiGiHub) within the Group, which will operate as an overall reference center for digital innovation, bringing together the best practices of the sector through the successful adoption of Microsoft technological solutions, in collaboration with the IT departments of all the companies of the Group.
The collaboration ensures the Group's access to best practices in all its operations sectors, to specialized Microsoft engineers, the further development and integration of software and digital platforms such as M365, Azure, Power Platform, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, as well as access in the most modern IT technologies, but also the implementation of systematic training (upskilling & reskilling) for the human resources of the GEK TERNA Group.
During the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with Ms. Gianna Adronopoulou, Managing Director of Microsoft Greece, Cyprus and Malta, Mr. Angelos Benopoulos, Authorized Consultant and Executive Member of GEK TERNA' s BoD, stated: "The signing of the MoU marks an extremely positive and multiple important development, with numerous benefits for GEK TERNA Group, ensuring the successful implementation of the safest and most innovative technologies for the Group and its subsidiaries, while it is a practical recognition of the progress made in recent years in the digital transformation of GEK TERNA Group by Microsoft itself, one of the largest technology companies in the world with an emphasis on the production of software, productivity solutions, IT security and artificial intelligence".
