Media Release Fortescue remembers Peter Lynch Perth, 27 January, 2017:

"It is with deep sadness that we learned that Peter Lynch, Fortescue's Director of Development, and Endah Cakrawati tragically died when their plane crashed at the Australia Day events held in Perth yesterday evening.

Peter joined Fortescue in 2016 and was responsible for all of Fortescue's development and exploration activities. He was a highly experienced mining executive, having previously held senior roles across coal, copper, gold, lead and zinc in Australia and overseas.

At Fortescue, Peter managed the development of Fortescue's core iron ore assets in the Pilbara while also exploring low cost options elsewhere in Australia and overseas. He brought energy, enthusiasm and a great team spirit to the role and he will be missed enormously.

Peter was a great mate and all of us at Fortescue convey our deepest condolences to his family, including his three children, and to Endah's family."
