MerhbaKM Malta Airlines: Malta's new flag carrier commences flight operations to Vienna
Everything is new at KM Malta Airlines. Since 31st March 2024, KM Malta Airlines, Malta's newly established state-owned airline, began operating flights to Vienna. The new airline replaces Air Malta and is continuing daily flights connecting Vienna and Malta. A modern Airbus A320neo aircraft is being deployed on the Vienna-Malta route. Today, 4thof April 2024, KM Malta Airlines was officially welcomed to Vienna Airport within the context of a photo session in the presence of Natasha Meli Daudey, Ambassador of Malta to Austria, as well as Corinna Ziegler, Marketing Manager of the Malta Tourism Authority office in Vienna, Walter Fehsler, Sales Manager Austria of KM Malta Airlines and Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport.

The refounding of KM Malta Airlines means that Malta Airport, in which we have a strategic stake, now features a strong new home carrier," says a pleased Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport.
"We are excited to establish daily operations to Vienna Airport, providing convenient travel options between central Europe and Malta for both business and leisure travellers," commented David Curmi Executive Chairman of KM Malta Airlines.
Daily flights from Vienna to Malta in modern Airbus A320neo aircraft
KM Malta Airlines operates daily flights between Vienna and Malta. The aircraft depart from Malta every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 6:05 a.m. and arrive in Vienna at 8:25 a.m. The return flight from Vienna takes off at 9:25 a.m. and lands in Malta at 11:45 a.m. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, the aircraft leaves Malta at 1:50 p.m. and arrives in Vienna at 4:10 p.m. The return flight leaves Vienna at 5 p.m. and arrives in Malta at 7:20 p.m. All the flights deploy a modern Airbus A320neo which offers a total of 168 comfortable seats in a pleasant atmosphere in the Business and Economy booking classes.
KM Malta Airlines: Malta's new flag carrier
KM Malta Airlines was established by the Government of Malta as the successor to Air Malta and commenced flight operations on 31 March 2024. Malta's new flag carrier took possession of two Airbus A320 and six Airbus A320 neo aircraft from its predecessor and will deploy them to serve 17 destinations in Europe. Recently KM Malta Airlines concluded a codeshare agreement with Lufthansa enabling the airline's route network to grow by 35 additional European destinations.
