Fasadgruppen’s CEO Pål Warolin has informed the company’s Board of Directors that he wishes to step down as CEO in 2023 for personal reasons. The Board has therefore decided, in dialogue with Pål Warolin, that he will continue in his role until the date of Fasadgruppen’s Annual General Meeting on 11 May 2023. The Board has decided to appoint Martin Jacobsson, currently deputy CEO and Head of M&A, as the new CEO of Fasadgruppen as of 12 May 2023.

Martin Jacobsson was the first employee of Fasadgruppen’s parent company and served as CFO in 2018-19, before being appointed deputy CEO and Head of M&A. In his current role, he has worked closely with outgoing CEO Pål Warolin. Martin Jacobsson has previously worked at Handelsbanken Capital Markets and holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering from LTH, Faculty of Engineering.

Ulrika Dellby, Chair of the Board of Directors of Fasadgruppen, said: ”Pål has been instrumental in the development of Fasadgruppen and will be missed in the organisation. We would like to thank Pål for his efforts and dedication over the years.”

She continued: "We are very pleased to appoint Martin Jacobsson as the new CEO of Fasadgruppen. Few companies have such a clear successor when the current CEO resigns. Like Pål, Martin has played a central role in Fasadgruppen's growth journey, has extensive knowledge of both the industry and the acquisition market, and enjoys great confidence throughout the organisation. Martin and Pål will now have the opportunity to make an orderly handover in the coming months, ensuring continuity for Fasadgruppen."

Martin Jacobsson, incoming CEO of Fasadgruppen said: "Fasadgruppen is a fantastic company that I am proud to have been part of building over the past five years, as we have grown from a hundred to nearly 2,000 employees in almost 50 businesses. There is tremendous power in our company and as CEO I look forward to seizing all the opportunities that lie ahead with focus on creating sustainable and profitable growth.”
