EssilorLuxottica reports Q3 sales of 6924 ME, up 5.2% at constant exchange rates on the same period a year earlier (-1.6% at current exchange rates).

The company points out that third-quarter growth was "slightly slower than in the first half", due to weaker retail activity in sunglasses.

At constant exchange rates (cc), sales nevertheless rose by 5.7% for the Professional Solutions division and +4.7% for Direct to Consumer.

Geographically, sales were driven mainly by the dynamic Asia-Pacific region (+11.7% cc), EMEA (+6.9% cc) and Latin America (+6.2% cc).

The company reports that sales for the first nine months of 2023 increased by 7.2% compared with 2022, with 9-month growth continuing to exceed the long-term target of around 5% per year.
