(Alliance News) - Eni Spa announced Monday that Plenitude has signed an agreement to enter the strategic partnership with BlueFloat Energy and Sener Renewable Investments for the development of offshore wind projects in Spain.

"Plenitude will strengthen the joint venture, launched 3 years ago by BlueFloat Energy and Sener Renewable Investments, which is confirmed as one of the leading in the sector in the country with a portfolio of about 1.25 GW of floating offshore wind projects in Galicia, Catalonia and the Canary Islands," as the company explained in a note.

In Spain the company has photovoltaic and wind farms already operational with a total installed capacity of 430 MW, plants under construction of 1 GW and more than 2 GW of projects under development, more than 300,000 customers to whom it provides electricity, energy services and a network of charging points for electric cars.

Plenitude operates in 15 countries, with a portfolio of about 3 GW of renewable capacity in operation, and aims to reach 7 GW by 2026 and over 15GW by 2030.

Eni closed Monday in the red by 0.8 percent to EUR14.34 er share.
