Electricité de France S.A. (ENXTPA:EDF) wants to sell its coal power station in Rybnik, as well as several heat and power stations. Electricite de France is off talks with IFM Investors Pty Ltd and Energeticky a Prumyslovy Holding, a.s., and invited Energa SA (WSE:ENG), PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. (WSE:PGE), ENEA S.A. (WSE:ENA) and PGNiG Termika SA to negotiate. If the price is right, the deal will be reached soon.

Poland objected to EDF splitting its business in Poland and in December 2016 the Energy Ministry blocked the transactions. The French appealed the decision and threatened to go to arbitrage, but in the end they gave in. EDF wants to sell its assets by mid-2017.
