On Tuesday, Elior announced the appointment of Damien Pénin as Deputy Managing Director of its French subsidiary, Elior France, a newly created position.

Damien Pénin - who will also retain the role of Managing Director for the education and healthcare markets that he has held until now - will see the scope of his responsibilities extended to the corporate markets.

His area of activity will also include the Ansamble and L'Alsacienne de restauration subsidiaries.

In his new role, he will be responsible for successfully turning around the foodservice business in France against a backdrop of inflation, the energy crisis and raw material shortages.

Having joined the group in 2014 from Spie, Damien Pénin first held the position of regional director for the southern region (2014-2018), then that of director of operations for the corporate and industrial market (2018-2020).

He will report to Jean-Yves Fontaine, the CEO of Elior France and a member of the group's executive committee.
