Elecnor SA announced it will be in charge of the construction of the 9.2-MW Arrecife wind farm on Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The Spanish infrastructure builder and renewable energy group has been awarded a turnkey contract worth EUR 11 million by Sociedad Insular de Aguas de Lanzarote SA (INALSA), an enterprise affiliated with local government-owned water utility Consorcio del Agua de Lanzarote. The scope of the contract covers the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of four Enercon E-70 wind turbines, as well as construction of the accompanying civil infrastructure. The company announced the construction phase will be over in August 2020.
