EEI Corporation elected Paolo Y. Abaya, and Jaime E. Ysmael to its board of directors. Mr. Abaya is the President and CEO of Malayan Insurance from 2019 up to the present. He is also a Director of Honda Cars Kalookan Inc. and the AY Foundation.

He is also the President of Hexagon Lounge from 2007 up to the present. His past experiences include: Vice President - Sales Head for Agency & Direct/Dealership, Vice President II - Head of Corporate Fire Underwriting, and Chief Operating Officer of Malayan Insurance; President of Ebisu Grill Inc.; Vice President and General Manager of Isuzu Manila; and Customer Relations manager & Sales Administration Head of Honda Cars Quezon City. Mr. Abaya graduated from the McLaren School of Management, University of San Francisco, California and holds an EMBA from the Singapore Management University, Singapore.

Mr. Ysmael is President & CEO of Healthway Philippines, Inc, Mercado General Hospital Inc. (M10, Healthway Medical Clinics Inc. and Zodiac Health Ventures Inc. He is also Chairman, President & CEO of MGHI subsidiaries which include Mercado General Hospital Sta. Rosa Inc., Mercado General Hospital San Jose Del Monte Inc., Panay Medical Ventures Inc., and Mercado Ambulatory and Surgical Services Inc. His past experiences include: Chairman, President & CEO of Ortigas Land Corporation and its subsidiaries: Ortigas & Company Limited Partnership, Ortigas Commercial Corporation, Ortigas Property Management Inc. and Concrete Aggregates Corporation; Senior Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer of Ayala Land Inc. and Managing Director of Ayala Corporation. He is also President of Alumni.

Tree Project-RMHS Manila Inc., President of Shareholders Association of the Philippines, a 'Trustee and a member of the Executive Committee of CIBI Foundation, and Chairman of the Committee on CFO Competency Program of FINER Academy. Mr. Ysmael holds a degree in Business Administration, Major in Accounting (Summa Cum Laude) at the University of the East, Manila and is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned an MBA, Major in Finance, at The Wharton School and an MA in International Studies at The School of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, as a fellow of The Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies.

He also attended The Executive Program of the University of Michigan.
