easyJet continues its inroads into the business travel market by signing a commercial agreement with American Express Global Business Travel

easyJet, the UK's largest airline, today announced it has signed a pan European commercial agreement with American Express Global Business Travel. The new deal means that easyJet will be working with American Express as one of its first Travel Management Company partners.

Paul Simmons, UK Director, at easyJet, commented;

"Business passengers are voting with their feet - with nine million of them choosing to fly easyJet last year. In these tough economic times easyJet offers an extensive route network, with high frequencies on business routes, great customer service and low fares. And now we also offer Flexible Fares priced from £99. easyJet can offer corporates real savings and fantastic value for money - it makes business sense to choose easyJet."

In recent months easyJet has also put a corporate sales team in place who will continue to establish strong partnerships with corporates and major travel management companies.

easyJet operates on more of Europe's top 100 city pairs than any other airline including British Airways, Lufthansa and Air France. It is the biggest operator at London Gatwick Airport, which is popular with business travellers due to its good transport links to central London.

easyJet is working actively with the travel trade, GDSs and other intermediaries to streamline the processes used to book its flights. Last year easyJet announced a new deal with Amadeus which will be instrumental in gaining a larger market share of the business travel market in Europe. It also introduced Flexi fares which give business passengers flexibility to change the date of their flights.
