Digital Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Announces Audited Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2017

Digital Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund announced audited earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2017. For the year, the company reported net profit of THB 11,115,912,000 or THB 1.9139 per share against THB 18,867,071,000 or THB 3.2485 per share a year ago. The change in the net increase in net assets from operations for the year ended December 31, 2017 that decreases in excess of 20%, compared to that of the same period in 2016. The Fund has the net increase in net assets from operations for year ended December 31, 2017, amounted to THB 11,115.91 million, compared to THB 18,867.07 million for the same period in 2016, or a decrease of THB 7,751.16 million (41.08%) from last year. This is mainly a result of a decrease of net unrealized gain from investment totaled THB 8,066.74 million (the year ended December 31, 2017: THB 5,418.53 million; the year ended December 31, 2016: THB 13,485.27 million). Total Income was THB 6,745,031,544 compared to THB 6,390,975,275 a year ago. Net investment income was THB 5,686,914,051 compared to THB 5,370,072,157 a year ago. Total net gain from investments was THB 5,428,997,622 compared to THB 13,496,998,493 a year ago. Net cash flows used in generated from operating activities was THB 6,936,186,384 compared to net cash flows generated from operating activities of THB 5,540,019,807 a year ago.
Digital Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund is a Thailand-based closed-end infrastructure fund. The Fund operates through investments in the telecommunications infrastructure business and securities segment. The Fund invests in telecommunication infrastructure assets such as telecommunication towers, fiber optic cable system, transmission equipment, broadband system and/or revenue incurred from the assets with coverage nationwide. Its infrastructure funds are invested in various businesses, such as Transportation system by rail or pipe, electricity, plumbing, road, expressway, or concession, telecommunications or information technology infrastructure and communication, alternative energy, waste management, airport or airfield, and water management system or irrigation. The Fund is managed by SCB Asset Management Company Limited.
