A new equity index fund issued by BNP Paribas Easy has been tradable via Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday.
The BNP Paribas Easy Low Carbon 100 Europe UCITS ETF enables investors to participate in the performance of companies based in Europe, that have a greater sense of environmental responsibility according to the international Academy for Energy. The index comprises the 100 most liquid companies from a variety of sectors, excluding controversial industries such as tobacco and arms.
The selection criteria are energy efficiency, global warming policy transparency and commitment to efficient and 'green' energy activities. The index is weighted by carbon emission level and share of efficient energy activities.
