Local regeneration development Arborfield Green has welcomed its first residents following the first property completions on site. Families moved into the newly completed two, three and four bedroom homes towards the end of 2016 and are looking forward to a 2017 spent in the flourishing Garden Village community. The new Residents were welcomed to their homes by the on-site Crest Nicholson sales team and Mark Ashwell, Wokingham Borough Council's Executive Member for Planning and Regeneration.

The new homes form part of Waterman's View, the first phase of the former Arborfield Garrison site redevelopment. Waterman's View is a collection of 113 units, including 23 affordable rent and shared-ownership homes managed by Catalyst Housing and 90 private homes comprised of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses.

Nestled in the Berkshire countryside, Arborfield Green boasts peaceful surroundings and is only a 13-minute drive into Wokingham town centre, making it ideally suited to young professionals and first time buyers alike.

Welcoming the first Arborfield Green residents to the site, Marcus Evans, Sales and Marketing Executive at Crest Nicholson, explained: 'We are delighted to welcome our first residents to the new Arborfield Green community. The site is changing at a rapid pace and we are excited to bring this new community to life. As we move into 2017, we encourage everyone to come along and see these beautiful homes for themselves.'

Mark Ashwell commented: 'We are delighted to see the first residents move into Waterman's View at Arborfield Green and are all very proud of the Garden Village development; what it means for Wokingham and the surrounding area. The new homes at Waterman's View really are something special as we have ensured that great community facilities and infrastructure (schools, playing areas, parks, sports centres and nature parks) are already in place. On behalf of Wokingham Borough Council, I look forward to welcoming many more residents in future.'

When the entire Arborfield Green development is complete, the site will consist of around 2,000 homes, new primary and secondary schools, a new community centre and a gym. There will also be a district centre with shops, food stores, bars and restaurants and a doctors' surgery.

The Garden Village site is surrounded by green open space and perfect for those who enjoy an active or outdoors based lifestyle and is located within the catchment area of the new Bohunt Secondary School. Once complete Arborfied Green will include over 2.5km of new bridleways and 5km of new footpaths, alongside 3 acres of new play areas and 4km of new cycle-paths.
