(Alliance News) - On the day the 2023 accounts were approved, shareholders of Credito Emiliano Spa also appointed members of the new board of directors.

The new board of directors includes Paola Agnese Bongini, Enrico Corradi, Giorgia Fontanesi, Mariaelena Fontanesi, Elisabetta Gualandri, Luigi Maramotti, Alessandro Merli, Ernestina Morstofolini, Edoardo Prezioso, Anna Chiara Svelto, Giovanni Filippo Emilio Viani and Lucio Igino Zanon di Valgiurata.

Credem's board of directors, which met at the end of the meeting, confirmed Lucio Igino Zanon di Valgiurata as chairman and Enrico Corradi and Luigi Maramotti as vice chairmen.

"We have developed over time a strategy based on a broad, diversified business model capable of maintaining high competitiveness in the various market contexts," said Lucio Igino Zanon di Valgiurata, chairman of Credem, "with the aim of ensuring sustainable welfare to all stakeholders that interact with the group in a collective growth path.

"The important results achieved represent a further attestation of the validity of the work carried out with professionalism and competence by all the people of the Group, characteristics that will allow us also in the future to better face the challenges of the social and economic context. I also consider particularly significant the reappointment for the next three years of the members of the board of directors, which thus maintains complete gender parity. This confirmation is also a testament to the important human and professional contribution made by all the members of the board to ensure a long-term strategic vision for the group."

Credem's stock closed Wednesday down 0.7 percent at EUR9.53 per share.
