Countryside Properties : ACTON GARDENS RECOGNISED AT EALING CIVIC SOCIETY AWARDS

Acton Gardens, one of London's largest regeneration schemes, has been highly commended at the Ealing Civic Society Award Scheme 2017. The award is for phases 3.1, 3.2 and 4, which between them have delivered 347 new homes, a new park and new local supermarket.*

Acton Gardens, already a Housing Design Award winning development in South Acton, is transforming the area with 2,500 new homes. The scheme is being delivered by a partnership between Countryside, L&Q and Ealing Council.

The redevelopment is being delivered across 11 phases, which began in 2011, and when complete in 2026 will provide 50% affordable and 25% family homes and new social and community facilities, such as the new Oaktree Community Centre, located in Central Square - the latest phase of new apartments to be released for sale.

The Ealing Civic Society Awards Scheme recognises work that benefits Ealing and the community - making the borough more attractive to live and work. They also aim to preserve the past but ensure that future buildings make its surroundings even better.

*Phases 3.1; 3.2; 4:

• Phase 3.1 is the site where Woolf and Wodehouse Courts were previously located and has now delivered 124 new homes. This was finished in Spring 2017. The design incorporates olive, grey and beige colour schemes and making sure the existing Ash Tree's to the estate stay in place. The building itself is made up of four cores which are named Alacia, Westley, Ravenswood and Welbeck Court.
• Phase 3.2 is located between Osborne Road and Bollo Bridge Road, next to Berrymede Junior School, where 116 new homes were built which were occupied in Spring 2017.
• Phase 4 is located along Hanbury Road and was finished in Summer 2017 - creating 107 new homes. The building is made up of three cores which are called Trevillion, Elmond and Larkin Mansion and this phase will also include the creation of the new West Park located next to this site including a new young children's play area set in a fully landscaped green space.
