CYME CYMDIST module features power engineering software that provides advanced analysis tools for transmission, distribution and industrial power systems.

WAUKESHA, WI, January 25, 2012 - Empresa Eléctrica Pública de Guayaquil, EP, EEPG, the largest utility in Ecuador, has been using Cooper Power Systems CYME™ Power Engineering Analysis Software for Transmission Systems (PSAF) for more than a decade, and is now working actively to complete a project using CYME CYMDIST solution for distribution analysis.

Engineer Alberto Tama, CEO of EEPG, explained, "All their calculations for the whole 69 kV transmission system, as well as the analysis of the supply system of 138 kV and 230 kV, are performed using the PSAF (CYME 5.0 software) due to its exceptional performances."
He also indicated, "We are in the middle of an ambitious process to use Cooper Power Systems CYME Distribution Analysis Software CYMDIST, combined with CYME CYMDIST Gateway interface solution, to be used for the integration with our enterprise GIS system for calculation of losses in our distribution network, location of capacitors, plan of growing, calculation of reliability index, etc."

facilitate the operation of our system, the largest of Ecuador."
