ANNOUNCEMENT

SIX LAWSUITS INITIATED BY THE GROUP

This announcement is made by Coolpad Group Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") on a voluntary basis.

The Company has received a notice from Yulong Computer Telecommunication Scientific (Shenzhen) Co., LTD., a subsidiary of the Company (the "Plaintiff"), that the Plaintiff has recently initiated lawsuits at Guangdong Province Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court (the "Court") for the disputes in relation to invention patent among the Plaintiff, Xiaomi Telecom Technology Co., Ltd. (ʃϷஷৃҦஔϞࠢʮ̡) (the "1st Defendant"), Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd. (ʃϷ߅ҦϞ ࠢப΂ʮ̡) (the "2nd Defendant"), Shenzhen Tongtianda Telecom Electronic Co., Ltd. (ଉέ̹ ஷ˂༺ஷৃཥɿϞࠢʮ̡) (the "3rd Defendant") and XiaoMi Factory Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen) First Branch (ʃϷʘ࢕ਠุϞࠢʮ̡ଉέୋɓʱʮ̡) (the "4th Defendant") (the "Defendants"), and received the "Case Acceptance Notice" issued by the Court for all six cases on 26 January 2018, with case numbers of (2018) Yue Min 03 Min Chu No. 390, (2018) Yue Min 03 Min Chu No.391, (2018) Yue Min 03 Min Chu No. 392, (2018) Yue Min 03 Min Chu No. 393, (2018) Yue Min 03 Min Chu No. 394 and (2018) Yue Min 03 Min Chu No. 395, respectively (the "Cases").

According to the Civil Complaint, the Plaintiff alleges that the acts by the Defendants such as production, promise to sale and sale of infringing products caused an infringement upon three of the Plaintiff's invention patents including (1) the invention patent with patent number of ZL200610034034.8 and named "Mobile communication terminal synergistic method and interface system thereof" (୅ਗஷڦ୞၌ٙ՘Ν˙جʿՉޢࠦӻ୕); (2) the invention patent with patent number of ZL201210250264.3 and named "Terminal and processing method for new event of application program" (୞၌ձᏐ͜೻ҏٙอԫ΁ٙஈଣ˙ج); and (3) the invention patent with patent number of ZL201210064396.7 and named "Terminal and application icons management method" (୞၌ձᏐ͜ྡᅺٙ၍ଣ˙ج), and hence caused material economic loss to the Plaintiff. Accordingly, the Plaintiff has brought the complaint to the Court to seek a judgement from the Court in protecting the legal interests of the Plaintiff by supporting the following claims by the Plaintiff in accordance with the laws:

To order that the Defendants shall immediately stop the acts of production, promise to sale and sale of infringing products that caused an infringement upon the Plaintiff's invention patents.

To order that the 1st Defendant, the 2nd Defendant and the 4th Defendant shall undertake the joint liability for the damages awarded to the Plaintiff for the economic loss suffered by the Plaintiff as a result of the infringement upon the invention patent, which shall be determined on the audited profit obtained by the Defendants in such infringement.

• 3. To order that the Defendants shall undertake the joint liability for all reasonable fees including fees for hiring lawyers and notarization paid by the Plaintiff for the purpose of stopping those acts of infringement upon the invention patents of the Plaintiff.

• 4. To order that the Defendants shall jointly bear all litigation expenses for the Cases.

As of the date of this announcement, all of the cases are accepted and pending.

The Company will make further announcement in due course to inform the shareholders of the Company of the progress.

Shareholders and potential investors of the Company should exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.
