Continental has announced plans to build a new industrial hydraulic hose plant in the Mexican state of Aguascalientes.

The planned investment is around $90 million, and will be one of the largest investments made by the group's ContiTech division in 2024.

According to Continental, the new facility will complement and expand its manufacturing capabilities in the region, and will generate more than 200 jobs initially.

With a total surface area of over 85,000 m2, it will be ContiTech's largest site in Mexico, representing approximately the size of 12 soccer fields.

Construction of the plant is scheduled to begin in the second half of this year, with commissioning expected in the second half of 2025.
