Chung Hwa Chemical Industrial Works, Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 460.742 million compared to TWD 421.944 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 50.264 million compared to operating loss of TWD 15.224 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 61.820 million compared to net loss of TWD 20.784 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.57 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.19 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 890.887 million compared to TWD 907.858 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 77.747 million compared to operating loss of TWD 4.753 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 99.274 million compared to net loss of TWD 144.402 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.92 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 1.31 a year ago.
Chung Hwa Chemical Industrial Works Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the processing, production and sales of chemical products. The Company mainly provides basic and acidic chemicals, specialty chemicals and electronic chemicals. The basic and acidic chemicals include the sulphuric acid, nicotinic acid, diluted acid, chlorosulfonic acid, aluminium sulfate, refined sulphuric acid, sodium silicate, phosphates and other inorganic chemical products. The specialty chemicals include dyes, pigment intermediates and color developing agents, as well as chemical fiber modified products. The electronic chemicals mainly include electronic grade sulfuric acid and conductive polymer materials.
